My husband and I were passing through Jackson and wanted a steak from somewhere other than the usual steak houses. Walking in with no idea about your restaurant, Mrs. Ellen graciously let us sit in the bar section so we could watch the Saints game.  Later, we realized Chef Monte was sitting nearby cheering the Saints! The voodoo steak was undoubtedly the best ribeye steak we have ever eaten, and we’ve eaten ribeye all over the country.  The atmosphere was very friendly and cozy.  We will gladly make the trip back to Jackson to eat at Monte’s again!  Thanks for a great meal and a great time.
